Oxford Street’s Chi Kitchen is delighted to announce that MasterChef champion Ping Coombes’ Breakfast Club will be back by popular demand on Sunday 21st January 2018.
Ping has launched the first 2018 Breakfast Club to help to beat the January blues by serving up comfort foods guaranteed to make everyone smile. On the first menu of 2018 is Eggs and Kaya Toast, a typical breakfast dish from Malaysia, combining perfectly cooked soft eggs and a sweet coconut based jam. Also on menu is Hainanese Chicken Rice, a favourite in South East Asia consisting of poached chicken served with fragrant rice, sliced cucumber and Ping’s homemade spicy chili sauce. This iconic dish is made without wasting any parts of the corn-fed chicken we use, as the whole chicken is used to make the broth, and the broth is then used to cook the fragrant rice. For dessert guests can enjoy Kuih dadar / Kuih ketayapm; a pandan pancake filled with coconut palm sugar. Guests are also invited to kick-start their morning with Ping’s special refreshing shot.
