On Sunday 12th March 2017, Ping Coombes, Chi Kitchen’s Masterchef winning consultant chef, is delighted to invite lovers of Pan-Asian food to a delicious, colourful and authentic South-Eastern Asian breakfast.
This month’s menu starts with Ping’s favourite childhood snack from Malaysia – ‘Kari Puff’. This is followed by a main course of ‘Mee Rebus’, a famous yellow noodle dish served with a sweet and spicy gravy made from sweet potatoes and pumpkin. Completing this indulgent breakfast is ‘Bubur Cha Cha’, a popular Nyonya dish consisting of a coconut based sweet soup with sweet potatoes, sago and taro.
